Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
